tiff with laptop

well. it seems as though my laptop hates me. I cant fathom why. So as i sit here calmly (now that I somehow revived it) I shall paste the events of last night which I typed out in an email:

AGHHHHHHHHHHHHhhh guess wad im super unlucky!! my comp CRASHED last night!! okay or i THINK its considered crashing.. GRR when i switched off e laptop it got stuck at the fujitsu logo page and the bottom said 'click or press enter to continue to menu' and e menu was like 'continue booting', 'config boot', 'boot menu' etc etc, so at first i thought i clicked smt to make it start up in MSdos or whatever-u-call-it-primitive-black-screen-white-words mode, but apparently smt was wrong and i kept getting a msg (in white words on a black screen) that the 'operating system not found' (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) so after mutiple, relentless times of restarting and shutting down (x at least 5 times, cuz I was too agitated to sleep), the triumphant XQ by a miraculous stroke of luck/genius-ness (actually Im not sure how either lol) FINALLY managed to start windows.. was super scared and paranoid so i IMMEDIATELY backed up my photos and sch stuff and installation files.. siaaaaannnn.. now e comp seems fine again but jaden tells me that apparently its caused by a 'corrupt windows'!! MY windows!! CORRUPT!!! WTF??!! is some virus like, BRIBING IT??!!!!! *&^%$%^&*()(*&^%$%^&* and i checked online its cuz of stupid system files.. AGHHH.. anyw im still super paranoid, think I'll do a disk cleanup, delete all internet files and cookies, defragment the comp(thou it prob wont help) and backup music files now.. AGHH..

and of course great events never happen by themselves cuz they are corrupt and gregarious, so yesterday I found out another piece of fabulous news.. which is that I have to go and collect the bike myself from ECP (for the city duathlon) somehow bring it back home (im assuming a cab would suffice??? - or the sudden discovery of the talent of teleportation - think jumper) and the next morning bring it to the duathlon place, and after that bring it back to ECP... -_-''' wow. great. fantastic. my life is soooo great lol.. SIGH

time for me to wallow in self pity. goodbye evil world, for now I shall retreat into selusion, void of nasty, corrupted computers and the need to be insanely talented with magical abilities.

Okay after wallowing in self pity I proceeded to drown myself with information about 'operating system not found' info from online. And I cannot reach a proper conclusion as none of the people with the same bloody problem encountered miraculous revivals of their laptops so i HOPE it was a one off thing but I better call the comp center to be sure tmr..

so anyway aside from corrupted computers, there's nothing more I'd like to talk about except for maybe.. ohh.. I dont know.. corrupted computers? seriously I swear I am obsessed.. I am so paranoid to the extent that I dont really dare switching off my laptop now.. aghh

okay but seriously.. haha I've finally got my internship etc etc so nows the filling of forms time plus finding lodging time.. and I realised that I'd prob have to cook for myself in philly so I have also become somewhat obsessed with learning recipes that produce mouth-watering gourmets in 15 mins or less. I mean, if they exist of course but so far the quest has been disappointing.. and since i was sooo free (being unemployed and all) I picked up a book at the lib called '6 ingredients or less'!!! WOW! ahhhh then I realised there were no pictures so Im chucking it to one corner and will continue instead on the boook 'who moved my blackberry'.. lol.. Who wants to read a cookbook without friggin pictures.. i mean, the pictures are the whole point! how else would I be able to visualise me with my end product! muahahha!!

So anyway, I shall return to the relaxed busy-ness of my currently boring, uneventful and dreadfully unlucky life.

Trekking across alexander bridge and henderson waves

I went trekking! well.. at least its considered trekking in MY dictionary haha.. sherry sen and I trekked alllll the way from kent ridge park to mount faber, which took us like almost 3 hrs.. thankfully we went in the morning haha, but kudos to all-purpose-tour-guide sherry who found a terrific trekking route for us!

The trail consisted of the newly opened alexander bridge and henderson waves.. which was pretty cool.. but better go soon cuz the place isnt gonna look pretty after a few years of wear and tear (esp the metal alexander bridge, which by then prob will be brown and rusted and flaky =)

The atrociously loooong flight of stairs to kent ridge park.. mind you this was about 1/4 of the total amount of stairs to reach the park, the rest was cleverly hidden from view to give any trekkers a false sense of hope that the stairs would come to a (much deserving) end.

We finally reached kent ridge park! Here's the tree top walk across to Hort Park which would eventually lead us to the alexander bridge. At least the view here was very nice =)

AHA! finally at Hort Park! It's this really interesting and pretty place that hosts a range og stuff from green houses (behind in the picture) to ponds to different award winning garden themes (eg 'dragon's lair', 'scarecrows' etc etc) and playgrounds and it even has a restaurant and stuff, AND it has parking so you can cheat and skip the kent ridge bit to get to alexander bridge and henderson waves! Here's sherry at one of the ponds! =D

This is like some green thing, where plants are grown on the side of buidlings to make it a REAL Green Building.. quite cool haha they have a few designs.. apparently it'll cool the building down more efficiently.. plus i guess you get more oxygen? haha..

After a long walk and many near-getting-lost encounters we reach henderson waves! This wooden bridge thing that frankly speaking is a waste of good wood, but nevertheless very pretty haha.. poor trees..

Tah dah! We finally finished the walk at mount faber but were too tired and hungry to walk down so, after unsuccessfully trying to hitchhike from tour buses, we took a cab to vivo for lunch instead. and luckily for us we did cuz right after we got to vivo it started raining cats and dogs!!! And check out sen's sony touch screen camera! you can do all sorts of stuff it's like taking free neoprints!! haha..

start of hols!

Am bored. It's e start if hols and Im unemployed so i have nothing to do. well, except maybe unpack my hall stuff i just brought back.. and err.. maybe clean my room... oh and watch movies i got from jaden.. and er.. watch sex and the city chell's gonna lend me.. and er... read books, and er.. oh did i mention unpack my friggin hall stuff?? aghhhh.. ok seems like e next 9876578 days are set!

Just came back from kelong yesterday, well, pics are with chell and pris so i cant post any just yet! but it was a refreshing experiene.. for those of you who don't know, kelong is like a structure built on water in the sea.. in the middle of nowhere to be exact.. haha the toilet looked like e squatting kind, but e place where yr stuff and water gets sucked into? well.. it was just a hole so all yr stuff go straight into the ocean... (omg)... and when u shit in the day u can see the fishes rushing up to yr umm, crap, to have a go at it.. (eeww) tissue papers not spared either by the way..LOL..

Anyw had a great time with chell cheryl pris weising nick alvin and aloy! we went fishing tooo!!! e first day alvin caught a fish within 1 min flat of throwing the line down on his first try.. e rest of e day proved fruitless except for aloy whole caught a fish then used it as bait (in vain thou) the second day was much better! i caught a lot of fishies!! and nick caught a huge one! so anyw we had them fried for lunch but they were, though fresh, very bland and tasteless...

Very unluckily as well I got my period on the very first day, like, even BEFORE we reached kelong -_- GRR!!

And Tongy has left for india! bye babe sorry i couldn't send you off!! but hope u have fun in tata chem!! =) well at least im updating for your sake! hahaha..

i'm blogging again! (whoopee. yay. hur hur.)

Finally met up with sen (albeit for a while, she's miss busy bee!! =) tongy and sherry after 8765478 years of not seeing each other haha, actually scratch that for tong since I see her all the time in hall but oh well..I was late (ok my bad, 45mins, an improvement! err thou sher might not agree haha =P) vivo was damn crowded and we were in no mood to shop (sherry and I were horredously, on-the-brink-of-bankrupcy broke anyw) so we decided (this took an agonizingly long time) on where to eat (breeks in harbourfront, which btw has sucky food) plonked ourselves down for dinner and held e table for hrs n hrs muahhaha.. and tongy obviously got into her 'are we paying for service? where's e service?!' talk too lol.. was great catching up w them miss them alr.. haha esp fun to rake up tong's stupid funny stuff in sec sch lol!! super entertaining lol..

err what else, this dec hol has been a terribly dreary one so far.. staying in sg the entire hol, and still have to go for hall stuff aghhhhh... well at least I'm back home, and i finally tidied up my room a bit so i feel decluttered!! thou i am superbly broke now after spending a bomb this xmas, and i hasnt even been a great xmas partly cuz there's no xmas tree in e house -_- apparently my dad threw it away when we moved, and there i was innocently assuming we have a tree and i was just to lazy to put it up.. great now im tree-less.. whats xmas w/o a xmas tree aghh.. and i think i enjoy e feeling of using a credit card too much (yay! free money! use now pay later!) HUR. NOT free money (well DUH, but when u use it yr bank acc stays e SAME) aghhh so now i must control myself before i go into debt, then i shall just declare bankrupcy (omg) and then I'll be like, homeless (omg) and drop out of uni (omg) and have to sweep the roads for a living (omgomgomg).. plus getting results tmr, am sooo nervous, which prob explains why I am blogging..lol.. i CANNOT afford to get lousy SAPs anymore, if i do i can really just quit sch and sweep roads aghh.. ok digressing.. i will NOT sweep roads! i deserve better than below 3 CAP! (apparently when I say this tong thinks its arrogance.. haha)

errr soooo thats e summary. my life has been such a boring blur that i cannot recall any interesting events except for what happened today. oh wow, memory failure. maybe i am einstein in disguise, now below 3, soon 5 all e way. OR. i could just check myself into some medical facility and void this sem's results if i get lousy grades. omg am so scared. ok digressing. again. must think positive. +tive. +tive.

ok. i think im going mad. shall switch topic to retail therapy! oh shit which i cant since i am broke. (great.) but so many SALES!! AGHH enticingg meeeeeee.. the only bad thing is that sale crowds are disgusting.. normal day orchard becomes weekend orchard and shops w sales sweeelll with ppl so much if u stick out yr arm, u wont be able to see yr fingers. i am absolutely serious, if u dont believe me, go to mango (ultimate horror story for claustrophobic ppl)almost as bad as xmas shopping crowds.. okay plus i am broke (oh wait i said that. temp memory loss. must be the dinner.) and have no time. speaking of time have not even had time to paint. grr.. and thats after i bought 2 new tubes of artist's acrylic and 3 boxes (w 3 tubes each!=) of artist's watercolor!! (yay!) havent even touched them yet sighhhh.. lookin forward to tranquil, alone, xq w xq time. ok. the phrasing makes me sound like im on the brink of insanity. but really, im fine, just have to have a heart to heart chat w xq first. LOL.
